Child Safety Standards

Freelancely is committed to providing a safe and secure platform for all users. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
This document outlines the measures Freelancely has in place to prevent, detect, and respond to CSAE on our platform, in compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store requirements.
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy
Freelancely strictly prohibits:
- Any content that sexually exploits or endangers children
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
- Grooming, solicitation, or sexualized communication involving minors
- Sharing, uploading, distributing, or linking to such content
- Impersonation of minors or deception about age
Any violation results in immediate content removal, permanent account termination, and reporting to the appropriate legal authorities.
2. In-App Reporting Mechanism
Every user on Freelancely can report inappropriate content, messages, profiles, or behavior directly from within the app:
- A Report button is available on every post, comment, reel, message, and user profile
- Reports are anonymous and reviewed by our Trust & Safety team
- Users receive confirmation once a report is submitted
- Urgent CSAE-related reports are prioritized and actioned within 24 hours
3. Content Moderation
We use human moderation to keep the platform safe:
- Human review by trained moderators for flagged content
- Proactive monitoring of public posts, reels, business listings, and messages for policy violations
4. Child Safety Point of Contact
Freelancely has a designated Child Safety Officer responsible for handling CSAE concerns and liaising with law enforcement.

5. Compliance with Law
Freelancely complies with all applicable child safety laws and cooperates fully with law enforcement, including:
- Reporting CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable
- Responding promptly to valid legal requests from authorities
- Preserving relevant evidence in accordance with the law
- Adhering to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR-K, and relevant local regulations
6. Age Requirements
Freelancely is intended for users 13 years of age and older (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). Users must provide accurate age information during registration. Accounts found to belong to underage users will be suspended and removed from the platform.
7. User Education
We educate our community about child safety through:
- Clear Community Guidelines
- Safety tips during onboarding
- Periodic in-app reminders about reporting tools
- Resources and support for users who may be victims of exploitation
8. Continuous Improvement
We regularly review and update our child safety measures based on:
- Emerging threats and trends
- Feedback from users, law enforcement, and child safety organizations
- Updates to platform policies (Google Play, Apple App Store)
- Advances in detection and prevention technology
